GLOW Holiday Festival at state fairgrounds kicks off Thursday

A drive-thru holiday lights festival opens at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Thursday.

The festival is set to take place every day from Thursday through Jan. 3 and features about a dozen different displays with over a million lights, according to organizers. In addition to a 100-foot Christmas tree, there will be icicle and art installations and a gingerbread house, among other attractions.

Visitors will also have the chance to purchase some popular Minnesota State Fair food items after driving through the different displays.

Entry to the drive-thru holiday lights festival is timed in 15-minute increments and a complete trip through the festival is estimated to take about 40 minutes.

Tickets can be purchased for $46 per vehicle online.
