An early morning fire in St. Paul Monday destroyed a motor home.

According to the St. Paul Fire Department, at 4:52 a.m., firefighters responded to multiple calls regarding a fire on the 2000 block of Gilbert Avenue in St. Paul. 

Upon arrival, crews found fire and heavy smoke coming from a motor home. The smoke was visible from the Interstate 94 and Cretin Avenue N. area.

One resident was able to safely evacuate the motor home prior to fire crews' arrival.
