Downtown Improvement District deploys handwashing stations in Minneapolis

The Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District (DID) on Tuesday deployed handwashing stations throughout downtown Minneapolis.

Locations include at Hennepin and First avenues, Nicollet and between Fourth and Fifth streets. DID said the locations are subject to change.

The organization said the dual-sink units will include water, soap and paper towels.

"This is a critical time for our community to have accessible handwashing locations," said Steve Cramer, President and CEO of DID. "The DID identified portable handwashing stations as an important resource during these evolving times. The DID remains committed to doing our part to best support our downtown community as we navigate together."
