COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 472 new cases, 6 new deaths

Wisconsin health officials reported 472 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, bringing the state’s total to 13,885 cases.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) also reported six new COVID-19 deaths, increasing the state’s total to 487.

The DHS said, as of Thursday, 163,238 people have tested negative.

Of all cases in Wisconsin, 16%, or 2,218 people, have required hospitalization.

Meanwhile, 8,012 people are recovering and are no longer in isolation, which accounts for 58% of all cases.

Milwaukee County continues to be hit hardest by COVID-19 in Wisconsin, accounting for 5,556 cases and 269 deaths, as of Thursday.
