It's going to be a busy week for construction crews, with a number of projects starting up this spring.

The shutdown begins at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8 along Highway 5 eastbound between Interstate 494 in Minneapolis and Davern Street in St. Paul. A number of ramps will close during the same time frame, including:

  • Eastbound Hwy 55/62 to eastbound Hwy 5
  • Eastbound Hwy 5 to Edgcumbe Road

If you need to travel between the Twin Cities and St. Cloud, you're about to see a lot more construction barrels. Starting Monday, I-94 will be down to one lane between Highway 24 in Clearwater and Highway 25 in Monticello. Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until early May. Drivers will also encounter off-peak lane closures on I-94 from St. Michael to Maple Grove until early May.
