The city of Blaine on Saturday unveiled war memorials for American men and women who have died in conflicts around the world.

In a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park of Blaine, the city peeled away coverings to reveal monuments to veterans of World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Each momument is made of granite and features a collage on one side and an iconic image on the reverse.

The city of Blaine and the Champlin Park Baseball Association helped fund the project.
