A biker died Saturday afternoon after running off the road and crashing into a fence in Albany Township.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said it was notified of a motorcycle crash near the intersection of County Road 54 and Quaker Road at about 2:59 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 52-year-old Troy Thomas Karger, of Albany, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined Karger was traveling east on County Road 54 when he got to a curve in the road and left the roadway, striking a fence.
