Authorities ID 19-year-old killed in north Minneapolis shooting

A 19-year-old man who was killed in an early-morning shooting in north Minneapolis on Tuesday has been identified.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Keshaun James Leuzzo-Mapp died from a gunshot wound to the torso. His manner of death was ruled as a homicide.

Minneapolis Police said officers responded to the 5100 block of Dupont Avenue North at about 2:16 a.m. after receiving reports of gunshots fired in the area. There, they found Leuzzo-Mapp suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were attempted but Leuzzo-Mapp was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating the shooting.

No arrests had been announced as of Wednesday morning.
