Anoka-Hennepin School District to transition elementary students to distance learning

The largest school district in the state is moving the rest of its students to distance learning.

Last week, middle and high school students in the Anoka-Hennepin School District switched from hybrid learning to distance learning, citing rising COVID-19 cases. Now elementary schools will do the same.

District officials say growing numbers of school and transportation workers affected by the coronavirus are making it difficult to stick with the hybrid learning model.

No date for the transition has been set, but the district says it will give families as much advance notice as possible.
