53-year-old man dies in single vehicle crash near Aitkin county

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a fatal crash that happened on Sunday morning near Aitkin County. 

According to the state patrol, at 7:51 a.m., Raymond Lawrence Nelson, 53, was driving his vehicle eastbound on Highway 210 at mile post 180 when the vehicle went off the road and hit the guard, causing it to roll into the south ditch. 


The road condition had snow and ice on them and it is unknown if Nelson was wearing a seatbelt, according to the state patrol. 

No alcohol was involved in the incident.
