3 injured in Minneapolis shooting

Three people suffered from gunshot wounds early Saturday morning in Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis Police, at 3:12 a.m., officers heard the sound of shots fire and reported hearing the bullets go by them at 1st Avenue North and 5th Street.

Officers got out of their car and saw a woman down on the ground with a gunshot wound. Officer called for an ambulance and she was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries that were considers non-life-threatening.

A marked squad was occupied when a bullet struck it. No one was injured as a result.

According to police, a man and woman arrived at North Memorial Health Clinic with both gunshot wounds that were considers non-life-threatening.

Officers interviewed both of them and reported that they were also injured as a result of the incident.

It is believed that a property problem played a role in this incident, which will be incorporated into the investigation.

No one is in custody, said police.
