3 arrested in overnight carjacking, robbery in St. Paul

Three people, including two teens, were arrested overnight for a carjacking and robbery that occurred in St. Paul.

St. Paul Police said officers responded to a location near the intersection of Hoyt Avenue E and Westminster Street at about 12:10 a.m. Friday.

The victim told police he was approached by two male suspects and one had a gun. The suspects forced the victim into his vehicle and brought him to a bank, used his ATM card to withdraw money and then dropped him off at the location and locked him in a garage, police said.

The suspects also stole the victim’s vehicle.

According to police, a squad located the victim’s vehicle abandoned near Marion Street and Larpenteur Avenue.

While squads were with the victim’s vehicle they heard another robbery happening nearby, close to the intersection of Arkwright Street and Arlington Avenue.

That victim told police a gun was displayed and the suspects stole what he had on him and his vehicle.

Officers located that vehicle and the suspects fled on foot.

Police said officers were able to arrest 20-year-old Xavion Tyrece Bell for first-degree aggravated robbery and possession of ammunition by an ineligible person. Two 17-year-old boys were also arrested for first-degree aggravated robbery.
