A 17-year-old died after a Freightliner and a car collided at an intersection in Crow Wing County around 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Freightliner straight truck was northbound on Highway 25 and a 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity was westbound on County Road 2 Southeast. The two vehicles crashed at an intersection in Daggett Brook Township.

Cayden Michael Lee Eagle, the teenage Chevy driver from Isle, died. He was not wearing a seat belt and his airbag didn't deploy. It is unknown whether alcohol was a factor. The driver and passenger in the semi were wearing seat belts and weren't injured.

Minnesota State Patrol is investigating.
