An Eau Claire man died after a motorcycle crash in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, on Wednesday.

The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office said dispatchers received a report of a motorcycle crash near the intersection of County Highway D and County Highway KK in Nelson at about 5:50 p.m. The report indicated the motorcyclist had a broken leg.

Shortly after authorities arrived at the scene, the motorcyclist collapsed, the sheriff's office said. Lifesaving measures were attempted but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling north on County Highway D and failed to negotiate a curve, causing him to lose control and roll several times.
