One person is dead and another is in custody after a person was ejected from a vehicle in Roseville Friday morning.

Roseville Police said officers responded to several reports of a single-vehicle accident with one person ejected at about 8:10 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying motionless in the eastbound lanes of Highway 36 at Hamline Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene with apparent trauma to his head.

Police said the driver, a 27-year-old Minneapolis man, was arrested after officers determined he appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He was booked in Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center on criminal vehicle homicide charges, and a search warrant was executed to obtain a blood sample.
