Minnesota Moment: Mission to keep local pets fed

Updated: December 12, 2019 10:23 PM

It's a mission to help man's best friend and all other pets.

Minnesota's only pet food shelf got a big delivery Thursday, but much more is still needed.

People and Pets Together has been getting busier and busier. Right now, they're in the middle of a month-long donation drive.

Everything collected will help low-income pet owners in need, the food shelf said.

"We try to keep them in their homes where they belong because we believe that pets are family," said Kate Meador with People and Pets Together.

The food shelf is located on Bloomington Avenue in south Minneapolis.
