South metro families show their generosity to help students in need.

Despite the rain Tuesday night, they showed up to a Lakeville Buffalo Wild Wings to stuff a bus full of school supplies.

"We want to make sure all of our kids start on good footing to start the year," Michael Baumann, Lakeville Area Schools Superintendent, said. "For those who need supplies and support, we want to make sure we help them out and help those families out."

Kids will pick up their school supplies, backpacks and donated clothing at another event called 'Ready, Set, Achieve' at the end of the month.

School starts in Lakeville on Sept. 3.
