Staff at a north metro senior living facility are going the extra mile for their residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brightondale Senior Campus in New Brighton hosted a door-to-door happy hour on Wednesday for their residents. They dropped off drinks and games for Seniors who have been cooped up in their apartments.
"A lot of them have been sheltering in place," said Su Stigney, program director at Brightondale Senior Campus. "Especially in independent. They used to be going places, doing things and they're really trying to stay put. So we're trying to spark their life... something special."
The door-to-door drinks were all part of an "April Foolish" celebration. The staff told KSTP they just want to connect with their residents and make them laugh.
