Minnesota Moment: St. Paul pub named outstanding employer of people with disabilities

A St. Paul pub is changing lives through the people it hires.

Brunson's Pub was named an outstanding employer of people with disabilities.

The pub has been open for two and a half years.

The owner, Thomas LaFleche, told KSTP providing jobs for people with disabilities is something he wanted to do from Day 1.

"I think most people in life are looking for fulfillment in some way, and I think all the guys that work here leave fulfilled after they're done with their job," LaFleche said.

The unemployment rate for people with disabilities nationwide is more than double the rate for those without.
