It was a happy ending for an injured eagle Thursday.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said two eagles were injured while fighting on the St. Croix River earlier this summer.

One of the eagles was able to fly away unharmed that day in July, but the 5-year-old female eagle had to be rehabilitated at the University of Minnesota Raptor Center.
On Thursday, the sheriff's office shared a pictures of the eagle being released back into the wild.
