Updated: September 17, 2019 10:37 PM

The Salvation Army has started off its annual 'Coats for Kids' drive.

They take new or gently used coats, hats, mittens, boots and snow pants. Donations of $20 are also helpful, according to organizers.

"Each of our seven locations is stocked up with about 300 to 350 coats, ready to go," Jason Karpf with the Salvation Army said. "But that's just a drop in the bucket. We need so much more, we need everyone's help for the winter that's coming."

Coats will be handed out next month. For more information on where you can give or receive a coat, click here
