Inside Your Health: Lung Cancer

Former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman is one of 65,000 people every year who develop head and neck cancer.

He made the announcement last week. Coleman's doctors said his cancer is a recurrence of the cancer they found on his tonsils in 2015.


But even after surgery, chemotherapy radiation and being told they are cancer-free, between 10 and 20 percent of patients will have a recurrence, often in the lung.

KSTP medical expert Dr. Archelle Georgiou looked deeper at primary lung cancer -- cancer that starts in the lung.
