Thunderstorms followed by heat and humidity to start the weekend

The weekend will start with a bang — of thunder.

According to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas, thunderstorms are expected to roll through Minnesota overnight Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday.

Following the storms, heat and humidity will take over with a high of 85 degrees expected. The skies in the Twin Cities are forecast to be partly cloudy.

Sunday will be much of the same but in reverse, with the day being hot and humid followed by thunderstorms in the evening.
