Woman arrested in St. Croix County for OWI with 4 children in car

A Milwaukee woman was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with four children in the car, Wisconsin State Patrol said Saturday.

On Friday around 8:40 p.m., Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post arrested Khadijah C. Locke after they received a dispatch of a car driving erratically and nearly hitting another vehicle.

The report was for westbound Interstate 94 near mile marker 15 in St. Croix county.

The trooper said when they located and stopped the vehicle, Locke showed signs of impairment.

After field sobriety testing, it was confirmed that Locke was operating the vehicle while impaired.

The four children in the car were all age 10 or younger.

Locke had her blood tested at a local hospital before being taken to the St. Croix County Jail.

State patrol said she is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired, first offense, with children in the vehicle under the age of 16; lane deviation; lack of insurance; and open intoxicants.
