St. Paul shooting leaves 1 dead

Police say they’re investigating a shooting that left one dead late Tuesday night in St. Paul’s West Side neighborhood.

According to St. Paul police, they were called to the area of Winslow Avenue and Page Street at about 10:15 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot inside a residence.

Despite giving aid, police say the man died at the scene.

Police identified the victim as 26-year-old Casanova Carter.

No details have been provided on what led up to the shooting, and no arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning.

Investigators said they don’t believe the shooting was random.
