Minneapolis police said they are investigating a stabbing that left one person dead late Thursday night.

MPD spokesperson Officer Parten said officers received “frantic 911 calls” that brought them to an area near the intersection of North 4th Street and North 22nd Avenue around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Responding officers said they found a man in his 30s with a “life-threatening stab wound” who was being helped by other people trying to render aid.

That man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

No arrests have been made in connection to the case.

This is the 51st death in Minneapolis being investigated as a homicide in 2022.
