Man shot in St. Paul while driving with wife, 2 kids

Police say a man was shot in the arm while driving with his wife and two kids in the car Sunday morning in the Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul.

According to St. Paul Police Sgt. Natalie Davis, the victim, a man in his 40s, was driving on the Earl Street bridge around 10:22 a.m. when he heard a loud noise and his driver’s side window shattered. He then noticed he had been shot.

Officers responded to the scene at Earl and Ross Avenue and tended to the victim before medics took him to Regions Hospital. He is expected to survive, Davis said.

The shooting remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
