One man is dead and three other men are in the hospital with critical injuries after a single vehicle crash just before 2:30 a.m. Monday on northbound I-35W in Minneapolis, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The 41-year-old man who died in the crash, Roger Jermone Wells, of St. Paul, was the driver of the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt, State Patrol said.

All three were passengers in the SUV, and none were wearing a seatbelt, according to the State Patrol. They are being treated for life-threatening injuries at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol was involved in the crash.
