Police identify suspect vehicle in I-394 shooting

The St. Louis Park Police Department has released new details in a shooting on Interstate 394 last week.

As previously reported by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. last Thursday. A man told them he was shot by someone in another vehicle while he was driving east on I-394 near Dakota Avenue.

The man, whose name and age haven’t been released, was shot multiple times, but is expected to survive.

The shooting caused a section of I-394 to be closed while investigators searched for evidence.

Now, police say both the victim’s and the suspect’s vehicles may have been seen at the Speedway located on the 6900 block of Market Street in Golden Valley.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 2014 gray or a similar-colored Nissan Murano SUV.

If you were driving in the area of Louisiana Avenue and I-394, or were on eastbound I-394 when the shooting happened and have dash cameras, you’re asked to check recordings in case the vehicle was near you.
