Crews investigating cause of Hugo business fire

UPDATE: Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of a late night fire at a Hugo business.

According to the Hugo Fire Department, crews were called to a building that works with oil products at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday for a report of a fire behind the building.

When they arrived, fire officials say they found three roll off dumpsters on fire in a building, and flames were approaching on n oil tanker truck, as well as a box truck.

Firefighters were able to contain flames to the dumpsters and the covered building, which was located near Fenway Boulevard Court North.

Members of the Forest Lake and White Bear Lake Fire Departments helped put out the flames, and crews were able to leave the scene around 3 a.m. Monday.

INITIAL REPORT: Firefighters worked to extinguish flames at a Hugo business overnight.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer saw crews at a business near Fenway Boulevard Court North just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Crews from multiple departments were at the scene, including Forest Lake and White Bear Lake.

The Hugo Fire Department hasn’t released any official information about the fire at this time.
