Bloomington police: missing vulnerable adult found, doing fine

UPDATE 10/4/22 – Police say a man who was considered vulnerable and had been reported missing is now home.

According to Bloomington police, a 79-year-old named Charles returned home sometime Tuesday morning, adding he is doing fine.

Monday, police had said Charles went missing from the U.S. Bank on Lyndale Avenue during the early afternoon hours.


INITIAL REPORT 10/3/22 – Authorities in Bloomington are asking for the public’s help locating a missing man with dementia.

Police say that a 79-year-old man named Charles went missing from the U.S. Bank on Lyndale Avenue around 1 p.m. Monday.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a plaid vest, and black suspenders.

Charles is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 150 lbs.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
