Man faces attempted murder charges after 3 people shot in St. Paul home

A shooting that left three people wounded at a St. Paul home has led to charges for a man accused of forcing his way inside and opening fire.

Glenn Graddy, 42-years-old, faces multiple attempted murder charges for his involvement in the shooting and home invasion.

Court documents state that officers responded to the home near the corner of Otto and Alaska Avenues in St. Paul around 4 p.m. on June 17.

A man and two women with gunshot wounds were located by officers. The man had a gunshot wound to the back of his neck, one of the women sustained a gunshot wound to her left calf and the other woman had gunshot wounds to her elbow and buttock, according to a Ramsey County criminal complaint.

One of the victims told police that he was at the residence visiting a friend when a Black man he knew as “Jojo” entered the home with another unknown Black man. The victim said the unknown man then shot him in the neck.

Another shooting victim said she saw a silver Chevy Impala come up to the house and the shooter kick the door in and fire about seven times. She said she escaped by jumping over the end of the couch.

The last shooting victim told police that she was asleep in the living room when she woke up to a loud banging. She then ran out to her Jeep and drove away. She then realized she had been shot and returned to the home when she saw the police presence there.

The complaint said that a neighbor’s surveillance camera captured footage of the incident. They arrived and left in a silver Chevy Impala that was missing a front license plate, had different rims on its passenger side wheels and a dent near the driver’s side rear tire.

The footage showed the two men enter the home, after which numerous gunshots were heard. The men then exited the house and fled in the Impala.

Investigators determined the Impala was registered to Graddy, and that the damage to the vehicle corresponds to the one pictured in the shooting. Officers note that Graddy appeared to be the man who stepped out of the driver’s seat with the gun. The investigator noted he had made contact with Graddy for a previous gun-pointing incident, where he apparently wore the same hat and boots as he was seen wearing in the Otto Avenue incident.

Officers then arrested the other man, known as “Jojo” on a separate warrant. After agreeing to speak with police, he said he knew Graddy as “Mitch” and that he was getting a ride from him to his mother’s house. He said Graddy then stopped by the home on Otto Avenue, and they both went to the door before “Mitch barged in and started shooting”, according to the complaint. Jojo said he was on the sidewalk when Graddy returned and told him to get back into the car. When asked what he had just done, Graddy reportedly said “I did what I was asked.”

Graddy has multiple violent convictions and is still currently at large.
