A group of musicians brought together by their military service and a rock and roll legend performed at a watch party for the Army-Navy football game Saturday night.

Three core members of “The Resilient” — a rock and roll band — met while they were being treated for injuries following their service in Afghanistan.

They first performed when they were brought together by the legendary Roger Waters — the singer and songwriter for Pink Floyd — who recruited vets to play songs with him for a fundraising event.

After that, they stuck together and started their own band.

They played at the watch party for the Army-Navy football game at the Uptown VFW in Minneapolis.

The lead singer tells us that this musical outlet has been a source of great inspiration and hope after a life-changing injury.

“It’s not the end of you — it’s not gonna crush you down unless you let it,” said lead singer Timothy Donley. “That’s part of how we ended up with the name ‘The Resilient” — and, a little hope goes a long way.”
