With so many Halloween events to choose from, KSTP is helping you maximize your spooky schedule. Read about local sweets and scares in the list below.

Friday

Saturday

  • Bloomington – Nickelodeon is hosting its second and final Shock + Ride Halloween Party of 2022 at the Mall of America.
  • Anoka – The “Halloween Capital of the World” is hosting a Grande Day parade from 1-3:30 p.m.
  • St. Paul – Minnesota Transportation Museum is hosting a kid-friendly Haunted Roadhouse. Tickets are required.
  • New Ulm – The city of New Ulm is hosting trick or treating at businesses around town at Halloween Hop from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Maple Grove – The city of Maple Grove is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 1-4 p.m. in the Community Center parking lot.
  • Columbia Heights – The city of Columbia Heights is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 1-4 p.m., at Huset Park East.
  • North St. Paul – Organization Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries is hosting a Zombie Make-up Workshop with a theater make-up artist from 1-2:30 p.m. at RCL-North St. Paul. Registration is required.
  • Chanhassen – The city of Chanhassen is hosting its 38th Annual Halloween Party from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Chanhassen Recreation Center. Register in advance or at the door.
  • Rosemount – Rosemount’s Haunted Halloween Volunteer committee is hosting its 40th Annual Haunted Trail from 6-8 p.m. Parking will be available at Dakota County Technical College West Lot.
  • Maplewood – Snake Discovery is hosting a Night Hike from 9-10 p.m.

Sunday

  • Burnsville – The city of Burnsville is hosting a Halloween Skating Party from 12-1:30 at Burnsville Ice Center.
  • St. Paul – Do Good Diaper Service is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Party at Lake Monster Brewing from 12-2:30 p.m.
  • St. Paul – Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 2-4 p.m. at its building on 656 Transfer Road. The association is also looking for families to host a trunk.
  • Bloomington – The city of Bloomington is hosting its 2nd Annual Halloween Trick or Treat Trail from 2-5 p.m. at Normandale Lake Park.
  • Eagan – The city is hosting Spooktacular Skate from 2-3:45 p.m. at the Eagan Civic Arena.
  • Ties Lounge and Rooftop is hosting Ties Zombie Prom from 8 p.m.-midnight.

Multi-day events

  • Bloomington – local sculptors carve Nickelodeon characters into pumpkins at the Mall of America.
  • Minneapolis – Hennepin History Museum presents Murder and Monsters: The Story of Harry Hayward and Other Victorian Horrors.

Community improvement events

Although this weekend will be full of holiday fun, there are also many opportunities for civic-minded people to work toward a better community.

The University of Minnesota will have its second Dinkytown Safety Walk on Friday night, which kicks off Parent & Family Weekend. Learn more in the university public safety department newsletter.

Oct. 29 is “Take Back Day,” where people can dispose of old and unused medicines to help prevent substance misuse or addiction. Find some of the locations where you can join the effort here.
