Victim killed in St. Paul stabbing identified as Chicago man

The person who died after a stabbing in St. Paul earlier this week has been identified.
Friday, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 38-year-old Sylvester T Cain, from Chicago, Ill.

Cain was found in a home near the intersection of Bates and McLean avenues at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was taken to a hospital but died the next day.
St. Paul Police said Friday that no arrests have been made in the stabbing and the case remains under investigation.
No details have been released regarding what led up to the stabbing.
