2 buildings hit by vehicles after crash in St. Paul

Sunday night, two buildings were hit by two separate vehicles in St. Paul.

It happened in the area of Arcade Street and Jenks Avenue East at around 10 p.m.

According to St. Paul police, a Honda SUV struck a Hyundai SUV, and the Honda then crashed into one building while the Hyundai hit another building.

The 47-year-old driver of the Honda was taken from her vehicle and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police added that initial information indicated she was intoxicated but test results were still pending Monday morning.

Two women in their 20s inside the Hyundai were treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.

A crew from the St. Paul Fire Department could be seen inspecting the buildings shortly after the crash happened. Police said both buildings were determined to be structurally sound.

The crash remains under investigation.
