St. Paul shooting, robbery leaves man injured

St. Paul police say a man is recovering and is in stable condition following what they say is a shooting and robbery Friday morning.

According to police, officers were called to the 2000 block of Creekside Way at around 6:30 a.m. for a report of someone hearing a gunshot and a man screaming.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and assaulted.

The man told officers at an area hospital that he had driven home after a night out with friends in Minneapolis, and after leaving his parked car, multiple suspects approached him and then began assaulting him.

The man added the suspects then shot him and also took his cash.

As of this time, police say they’re still looking into a motive, as well as a description of the suspects. Police add they currently believe there’s no threat to the public.

The Friday morning shooting in St. Paul is now the fifth separate shooting reported across St. Paul and Minneapolis since Thursday night.

As previously reported, no suspects are in custody for any of the shootings as of this publishing.
