Missing person with autism found safe in Savage

UPDATE: The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Jacob Rich was found safe Monday in Savage.

The Prior Lake police department is asking for the public’s help finding a 19-year-old man last seen at the end of last week.

A Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) missing person alert says that Jacob Rich was last seen on July 8 just before 10 a.m. in Savage walking away from his vehicle near O’Connell Road and County Road 42. He was alone at the time, the BCA reports.

Rich is a high-functioning person with autism and the BCA describes him as being 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, and having black hair and brown eyes.

The BCA says he was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt that may say “Atari” on the front with black shorts and black shoes.

The alert says he is not carrying a cellphone or any personal items.

Family and authorities are concerned for the teen’s wellbeing.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Prior Lake police at 952-447-9867.
