No injuries reported in Bloomington roof fire

The Bloomington Fire Department says they put out a fire on a building roof Friday morning.

According to Bloomington Police, the fire was spotted on a roof in the 2600 block of American Boulevard East on a building under construction.

Using drones, the police department said they were able to help the fire department identify hot spots on the roof and provided a unique aerial perspective.

At 9:24 a.m., the fire department said they had successfully extinguished the roof fire.

The fire was contained to the roof, and no one was injured.

No word yet on what started the fire.
