Minnesota National Guard soldiers greeted at MSP Airport upon their return from deployment
About 100 Minnesota National Guard soldiers woke up at home Friday morning after arriving at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport late Thursday night.
There were hugs and cheering for those soldiers as they were greeted upon their return.
The St. Paul-based 34th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade spent the last 10 months in Iraq.
There, they helped Iraqi security forces in their fight against the Islamic State.
Another group is expected to return home later Friday.
