Minneapolis: Three injured in midday shooting

Three men are at local hospitals following a shooting this afternoon near the intersection of Lyndale Avenue North and Broadway Avenue North.

Minneapolis police responded to reports of gunfire at 12:48 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and located two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers provided aid to the men, one in his late-teens and the other in his 20s, until paramedics took them to Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis.

A third man in his 20s self-transported to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, police say.

Preliminary information released by investigators indicates that the shots were fired from a vehicle that then fled the scene.

All three men are reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say that vehicles and buildings in the area were damaged by the gunfire.

No arrests have been made.
