Man shot, killed in Minneapolis’ Seward neighborhood identified

A man who was shot and killed in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis last week has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 23-year-old Keithshon Daquan Lamarr Fairley, of St. Paul.

His cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of 28th Avenue South at 12:48 a.m. on Dec. 23. When they arrived at the scene, officers found Fairley in a parked vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers began CPR on him until medics arrived, but Fairley was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Police haven’t announced any arrests in Fairley’s death, as of Monday morning.
