Man arrested, charged in connection to fatal Plymouth shooting

A man who was wanted in connection to a fatal Plymouth shooting earlier this month has been arrested and charged.

Last week, Plymouth police asked for the public’s help in finding 23-year-old Daniel James Hart, who was seen leaving the scene of a shooting at a gas station on June 9. According to police, 28-year-old Marlon Lindly Pompey, of Maple Grove, died in the shooting.

Officers say Hart turned himself in to police Friday afternoon and was released on bond.

He’s been formally charged with one count of possession of a gun or ammunition by a prohibited person.

Plymouth police said they also received a tip that led them to the car Hart was last seen driving.

No other details were immediately available.

The investigation remains active.

Hart is scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday.
