A vacant home under renovation in Minneapolis went up in flames Monday morning.
The Minneapolis Fire Department says crews responded to a report of heavy fire in the back of a home near North James Avenue and Hillside Avenue North at 3:22 a.m.
Minneapolis firefighters had to switch from an interior attack to a defensive attack due to heavy fire extension that compromised the integrity of the roof.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
