On June 1, 2020, Minneapolis police were called to the downtown area on a report of a carjacking. A witness said two men approached a man as he was exiting his vehicle, threw him to the ground, displayed a gun and threatened the man while demanding his car keys.

One of the men was also holding a red, plastic cup that was later found and used to identify Harris as one of the suspects.

Harris pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting a carjacking on Friday.
