6 hurt after collision in Hollywood Township

Six people were hurt — two seriously — after a crash Sunday afternoon in Carver County.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office says a southbound vehicle on County Road 21 ran a stop sign and hit an eastbound vehicle on County Road 20 at around 1:45 p.m.

The two people in the vehicle that ran the stop sign — a 23-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old woman — were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office says.

Four teenage girls inside the vehicle that was hit were injured and taken to hospitals, including the 16-year-old driver and a 15-year-old who were airlifted with critical injuries. The other two teens suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash remains under investigation.
