Foo Fighters cancel rest of tour after drummer’s death

Four days after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters have canceled the remainder of their tour, which included a stop in Minneapolis.

The band released a statement Tuesday announcing “the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates.”

“We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together,” the statement said.

The group was scheduled to play at a festival in Bogota, Colombia, on Friday night as part of its 2022 tour when Hawkins’ death was announced. They were scheduled to play at U.S. Bank Stadium on Aug. 3.
