MDH reports 3 additional influenza-related hospitalizations

In it’s weekly flu report, the Minnesota Department of Health reported three additonal hospitalizations.

The newest hospitilaztion brings the total to 35 hospitalizations this flu season.

A total of five deaths have been reported, according to the report.

Two additional outbreaks in long-term care settings have been reported, bringing the state’s total to five outbreaks. No new school outbreaks were reported last week, and only three total have been reported so far this season.

According to MDH, both influenza A and B are prevalent in Minnesota.
