The Great Minnesota Get-Together appears to be on track to return to normal this year.
Friday, Gov. Tim Walz shed some light on the status of the event, saying it should be back to normal this year.
"Everything to me looks, on the horizon, the way the vaccine is going and the way the virus is responding, that should be a pretty close to normal event," Walz said of the Minnesota State Fair.
The fair is scheduled to run from Aug. 26 through Sept. 6 this year, although health guidelines for the event haven't been discussed.
The governor is expected to discuss further easing of COVID-19 restrictions next week and said the state is still outpacing President Joe Biden's goal to reopen fully by July 4.
