Glen Campbell, best known for songs like "Rhinestone Cowboy," has died at the age of 81, his publicist says.

Campbell had waged a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

His hits include "Gentle on My Mind," ″Wichita Lineman," ″Galveston," and his signature song, "Rhinestone Cowboy."

A new record released this summer contained a collection of classic songs, including the Bob Dylan tune "Don't Think Twice It's Alright," and included performances by Willie Nelson and Vince Gill, as well as three of his children.
